My work fuses and celebrates Korean and American cultures in our technology-advanced society. I enjoy Painting and Printmaking on a large scale because it has such a striking, confrontational effect. I also have smaller scale prints based on animals from Korean lore and American fables.
My figures are drawn to fit the emotion I am feeling at the time. I use feminine, confrontational expressions that reject the idea of typical submissive, hyper-sexualized, eroticized Asian women. My smaller prints help aid my larger prints in creating an environment that I want to escape to.
I incorporate beautiful images with objects of vice. The objects are a smorgasbord of my lucid thoughts, creating a confrontational, surreal image.
